Stormy Weather - Navigating a Changing World
Lighthouse 2025
Our Conversations Shape The Future
When the world is stormy,
it's the conversations we have with people we trust
that become the lighthouse—
helping us steer clear of the rocks.
More and more, our conversations are shaped by social media—
not by daily, physical connection.
Not by people we drink coffee and tea with.
Not by putting phones aside and looking each other in the eye.
Not by the slow, searching conversations that build trust.
At the Lighthouse Conversation 2025,
we’ll explore how communities are actively created— that bridge divides, anchor democracy and make it possible to share perspectives, explore difficult topics, ask hard questions, and create spaces for hope and joy.
So, Join us.
To talk.
To listen.
To reconnect.
To rebuild trust—together.

ICLD (Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy) https://icld.se/en/.With Deon Pretorius. Bringing partnership between a South Africa and Sweden municipality focussed on local democracy and youth.
Fryshuset - https://fryshuset.se/english National effort to give disadvantaged youth a community - with sports, music and support into the job market.
These groups will share their visions and their practice. Together we will deep dive into their “HOW” and think together about their thorniest challenges, showing the power of open conversation with mixed perspectives.
They are the heart of this year’s conversation. But every participant this year brings a unique view of the task ahead: building trust and connection — online or in real life through:
the reach of business
the depth of art
the ethics of faith
and the inspiration of education.
