Who We Are
Öckerö Lighthouse Conversations is a non profit global forum for open conversations. It is rooted in a Scandinavian context but not bound to its limitations.

Background
The forum was started in 2022 by a of group individuals which felt that a forum was needed for conversations on what we see, hear and feel: on things happening all around us; in our societies, workplaces, schools  e t c.

Does a healthy public conversation still mean anything for the common good or is it irrelevant? We believe this is still valid but might need to be recalibrated and understood out of a context of a new worldview and world order(s).

The Lighthouse
The metaphor of the ligthouse was quickly adopted. Not only beacuse it is a symbol of guidance in stormy weather but also because of the story of a Danish town on Jutland, when its lighthouse was threatened by the sea, the citizens saved the lighthouse by moving it to more stable ground

This is the story and the vision of what Öckerö Lighthouse Coversations is about; through open and diverse conversations moving complex and complicated public conversations to more solid grounds in times of turbulence and rapid changes.
